B. User generated content
You can use our Services to create profiles and upload images and audio. Such activities are governed by our applicable Terms of Service (accessible from the footer link below). In addition, such postings may appear on other Websites and Mobile Apps, or when searches are executed on the subject of your posting. Whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information on publicly viewable web pages or applications, that information will be publicly available and can be collected and used by others and reproduced on websites or services over which we have no control. Further information is contained in the Zedge online safety and best practices guidelines.

We will use this information and the combined personal information for purposes set out in Section 3 “HOW DO WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION?” of this Privacy Policy (depending on the types of information we receive).

10. THIRD PARTY ADVERTISERS - YOUR AD CHOICES
We use third-party advertising companies, which may include Ogury Ltd (“Ogury”), and Publisher First, Inc. dba Freestar (“Freestar”) to serve ads when you visit the Websites and/or use the Mobile Apps. These companies may use information about your visits to any of the Websites and other websites and the Mobile Apps and other mobile applications to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. Some browsers have “do not track” features that allow you to tell a website not to track you. These features are not all uniform. We do not currently respond to web browser "do not track" signals or other similar mechanisms. If you block cookies, certain features on our site may not work. Our advertisers and their partners may collect additional information in the process of fulfilling these requests. Please note that this information may be used in accordance with the advertiser's privacy policy, which may be different from this Privacy Policy.
We may offer you the ability to purchase a subscription for an ad-free Zedge experience. As part of that subscription, you may still have the option of viewing rewarded videos in exchange for additional content access, but you will otherwise not be shown ads through the Services.
11. ACCESS AND CHANGES TO PERSONAL INFORMATION; ACCOUNT TERMINATION
You can request to access a copy of the personal information we hold about you, subject to certain exemptions and exceptions in accordance with applicable data protection law. 12. EUROPEAN AND UK RESIDENTS
If you are based in the EEA or the United Kingdom, in certain circumstances you have rights under data protection laws in relation to your personal information that we hold about you — specifically:
- Request access to your personal information. You may have the right to request access to any personal information we hold about you as well as related information, including the purposes for processing the personal information, the recipients or categories of recipients with whom the personal information has been shared, where possible, the period for which the personal information will be stored, the source of the personal information, and the existence of any automated decision making.
- Request correction of your personal information. You may have the right to obtain without undue delay the rectification of any inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
- Request erasure of your personal information. You may have the right to request that personal information held about you be deleted.

- Request transfer of your personal information. You may have the right to request transfer of your personal information directly to a third party where this is technically feasible.
- Object to processing of your personal information. You may have the right to object to processing of your personal information where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) as the legal basis for that particular use of your data (including carrying out profiling based on our legitimate interests). In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your information which override your right to object. The right to object also applies where we are processing your personal information for direct marketing purposes.
- Withdraw consent. You may have the right to withdraw your consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data (see the table in Section 3 for details of when we rely on your consent as the legal basis for using your data). However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.
To exercise your privacy rights, individuals can make these requests online by contacting us by email at privacy@zedge.net. You can also manage certain settings from within our Mobile Apps.
Where you believe that we have not complied with our obligations under this Privacy Policy or applicable data protection law, we ask that you contact us using the contact details in Section 1 first to see if we can resolve the issue. In the UK, you have a right to complain to us directly. However, you also have the right to make a complaint to a supervisory authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or applicable European regulator.
No fee usually required
You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we could refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.
What we may need from you
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
Time limit to respond
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it could take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
13. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS
California residents have the right to receive notice of certain of our privacy practices, including the categories of personal and sensitive personal information we may collect (see Section 2), the purpose for which we collect or use such information (see Section 3), whether such information is “sold” or “shared” as those terms are defined in California law (see Section 14), and how long such information is retained (see Section 6). You can make requests regarding your personal information as described in Section 14.

You can request that we stop using or “sharing” your personal information for such targeted advertising.
Please note that if you would like to opt-out of sales, sharing, or targeted advertising through certain cookie-based tracking for advertising purposes, you will need to separately request to opt-out by clicking the Consent Choices link in the footer of each Website you visit to set your preferences. You can also visit www.aboutads.info/choices and https://optout.privacyrights.info to opt out of certain uses of cookies for advertising purposes. You can also manage certain settings from within our Mobile Apps. Depending on the nature of your request, we may ask you for information that allows us to reasonably verify your identity (that you are the person about whom we collected personal information) and will use that information only for that purpose.
Depending on the nature of your request, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity prior to responding to your requests. The verification steps will vary depending on the sensitivity of the personal information and whether you have an account with us. You may designate an agent to submit requests to exercise certain privacy rights on your behalf. We may deny certain requests, or fulfil a request only in part, based on our legal rights and obligations.
