Monthly royalty payments are processed by our partner, Dots. No action is needed to initiate a payment – once you’ve crossed the threshold that triggers a royalty payment, you will receive an email from Dots the following month with a link to claim your funds.
The first time this happens, you will need to create an account with Dots. Please remember that, due to stringent anti-fraud regulations that all banking institutions must abide by, each Zedge business account MUST have its own Dots payment account; it is NOT permitted for two different Zedge business accounts to receive their royalty payments to the same Dots account. The phone number you use to verify your Dots account must match the phone number you have entered for your Zedge account. If these two numbers do not match, your payment will not be delivered by Dots.
Although our license agreement does not require us to pay royalties until an artist has crossed $100 in net revenue, we are currently paying all artists who have earned at least $50 (and whose accounts have not been suspended) at the end of any given month. Payments are usually made on or around the 15th of the following month.
Zedge covers any fees imposed by Dots for payments we send through them. However, PayPal and Payoneer sometimes impose their own fees, which can vary from country to country, and sometimes even from payee to payee within a given country. Such fees will be the responsibility of each individual payee.
- 88% of payees report no PayPal or Payoneer fees at all transferring from Dots
- 9% report fees of $10 or less
- 3% report fees between $10 and $20
Please note that, once you withdraw funds from your Dots account, it can take up to five business days for the receiving institution (PayPal, Payoneer, your local bank, or other) to release those funds to you. Neither Dots nor Zedge can control when your receiving institution releases your funds, so please do not contact Dots or Zedge customer support until at least 5 business days have passed since you requested a transfer.
